Apple Scones and Cinnamon Green Tea


250gm self-rising flour
50 gm. butter diced
25gm caster sugar
150ml milk
1 egg and a tbsp. Milk beaten together
1 tbsp. curd
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 apple peeled cored and diced


 1 – Preheat the oven to 200 C2 – In a large bowl mix the flour and butter. Rub it lightly into the flour with your fingertips.3 – When the mixer resembles fine breadcrumbs add the salt sugar and baking soda mix to combine. Stir in the apple.4 – Add just enough milk and mixture of milk and egg to bring the mixture together. To form a soft dough (but not sticky) take care not to handle the dough too much or the scones will become heavy.5 – Stamp out the round with cookie cutter. Try to avoid re rolling the dough it will make the scones heavy.6 – Bake it about 15 to 20 minutes, until risen and golden
